Some catching up

Computer problems have made me fall way behind....So for now just a few notes, more to come later!

"The Good Guy" by Dean Koontz was a great read! It was a can't put down thriller. I read it straight through and enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoy his books, because the characters are fallible, real people, who the reader actually cares about. This is such a good wrong place, wrong time story, that I highly recommend.

"Free Food for Millionaires" was in some ways, similar to "The Emperor's Children" but for some reason, the characters were not so annoying and vapid. Min Jin Lee did a wonderful job showing the differences in American and Korean culture. I cared more about the characters and what happened to them. It felt more real somehow and this one is also a thumbs up.
