Cleo Coyle and Laura Childs each write a series of cozy mysteries, one set in a New York coffee shop and one set in a Charleston teashop . There is always murder involved and the heroines, Claire Cosi, manager of The Village Blend coffee house, and Theodosia Browning owner of the Indigo Tea Shop, can't help but get involved. Both series are fun, full of tips for coffee and tea, and each has recipes for some of the flavorful sounding items served in their shops.

While there are murders, they are not gory or bloody. These are the perfect books for a rainy afternoon or a snowy evening.

I have to warn you, you will find yourself hankering for a turtleneck and a beret, with a cup of espresso, or a filmy sun dress as you enjoy a cup of tea.
