John Hart has written an intriguing novel about the cost of the truth and the cost of lies. On the night his mother died, "Work"
Pickens father vanished. 18 months later, his body is discovered in an abandoned mall, shot twice. Ezra
Pickens was a mean old bastard in life, and a puzzle in death. He was good at making money and bad with family relations. Father and Son shared a law office, one a successful lawyer and one not so
successful. Work fears his sister had something to do with the shooting, so he is determined to
solve the case or take the fall. Things don't work out as expected, and the ending came as quite a surprise. Populated with interesting characters, this was a very good read. I recommend it.
