Can you be Fluffy and Healthy at the same time?

"Skinny is Overrated" by Danielle Milano, M.D. is a terrific book for anyone who has been on a diet for decades, with less than stellar results, as well as those of us that get fluffier as time goes by. Subtitled "The Real Woman's Guide to Health and Happiness at Any Size", it does not emphasize that we must be skinny to be healthy.

One of the things that really struck me was scheduling time to eat. Everyone is so busy, and we sometimes eat on the run, or later than is good for us, but I find the idea of eating at specified times is a much better, easier, and in the long run, healthier. Exercise is stressed, of course, but no gym membership is necessary. Aerobic and resistance are the exercises of choice. Anything that gets your heart going is good, along with the addition of resistance bands. (More fun than competing with those toothpicks in spandex.)

Explanations of fats, good and bad, what is and isn't a vegetable, even outfitting your kitchen, make this book a must have for anyone watching themselves get fluffier than they would like. (I am a fluffy gal) Funny and smart, this book lets us know that we can be happy and healthy at ANY size. While you don't have to be skinny, you DO have to get healthy!
