After graduating from NYU with an acting degree, and hopes of becoming a star, Rachel gets the chance to go to Europe, as an unpaid, unacknowledged actor in an experimental play.
Her misadventures are funny, touching and outrageous. She does meet some men, bad ones, perverts and some who become wonderful friends. She does get a job, one that is not so much fun, but it provides a tiny income. In the end, Rachel gets the chance to grow up.
Although she is young, I found this memoir much more satisfying and funny than my previous post. She even includes instructions for your own adventure....Do not try this at home! (or elsewhere)
I received this book from Erica at Harper Perennial for review. Thanks!
