The Snow Globe

Sheila Roberts has written a lovely little book in "The Snow Globe". It is a fable of sorts that follows three friends, each with a different issue plaguing her. One has lost her love to her sister, one is too busy to enjoy her life and one has a family from Hell.

Kylie Gray finds an antique snow globe and though she has no job and no prospects, she has to buy it. The shop keeper tells her the story of the snow globe, that it finds the person who needs a special miracle. And miraculous it is. Each person sees what could be when the globe is shaken.

Wouldn't that be a wonderful thing?

Of course there are happy endings all round, and although it is a little sweet, it is also just what I needed after the craziness of the holidays. I recommend this short, sweet story for anyone who just needs a freakin' break!
