New Transmission

No, not from outer space...for my car! Yikes!! We were supposed to be in Louisiana this weekend, even with the sky high gas prices, but wouldn't you know, something had to go wrong with my car. First they thought it was the transmission, 1200 dollars, please. Then maybe the engine (built by Mercedes Benz, of course), but maybe not. They have had it for a week and the new estimate is between 2000 and 3000 dollars, and it is still not fixed, so it looks like my trip is on hold for a bit. My Dad and I are disappointed of course, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I hate it when things break! I'd better be extra careful with my computer....and my bones!
