Smoking-part deux

So...I am losing the smoking battle. It is so hard, and I don't know if I can do it. Quit for a couple of days, smoke for a couple of days, think of quitting, decide not to quit. It is a terrible conundrum. Although I KNOW all the bad stuff about smoking, I am not sure I care. I have seen all the ugly lungs, holes in the throat (gross) but still this ugly little friend is in my hand. Last week, I decided to try again...on my birthday (Monday) ...then on Oct. 1 ( lasted 2 days)...now I do not know. I feel helpless and hopeless.

  1. Please don't feel hopeless. It took my hubby a whole bunch of tries before he finally was able to quit.

    Good Luck.

  2. Happy Birthday.
Smoking's hard to quit. With all the stopping/starting, it seems like you've cut down. That's a step in the right direction.

Don't feel hopeless. My friend is struggling with the same thing--trying to quit, quitting for three days, then smoking again. I told him smoking just 5 cigarettes actually is worse because the scarcity intensifies the cravings. He got some patches and substituted with chocolate.

Btw I'll begin The Teahouse Fire tomorrow. :)

  5. I do that with Coca-cola. It's hard because there are times that you're *used* to your fix and then something stressful happens and you get a craving. Back you go. Don't give up. You can do it!!!!
