It's been a crazy month. New
meds have been playing havoc with me, and I have not been enjoying myself one little bit. The Man is doing much better, so we do have some good news. I have been able to do some reading, but not as much as I had hoped. I will get some opinions and ideas on here soon, but did not want you to think I was gone forever. More later!
I hope you get your meds worked out, soon. That can be a royal pain.
ReplyDeleteDitto above! I'm currently in fogland due to a bad cold, but I have the luxury, so to speak, of knowing that will end relatively soon.
ReplyDeleteI noticed on your main page that you had finished Dean Koontz's latest, and was hoping you had issued an opinion on it. I gave up on it just a few days ago. I'd read probably a good third of it, then hopped to the end, which made little sense, as I'd skipped so much. I just couldn't get into it. Just couldn't. I was kind of bummed about that, too -- as I'd had such high hopes!
So I dove right into a Resonance (by AJ Scudiere) and am really enjoying it. It's such a page-turner that, despite this bad cold wiping me out, I'm neglecting important things like sleep to keep reading! It's fiction, blending in with a lot of scientific fact about "the shift," when magnetic poles of the earth switch. A geologist finds there are place where the shift is already occurring -- throw in some other medical mutations and a deadly epidemic and you have yourself a great book. I can hardly wait to get to the end -- and until the next AJ book comes out.
