The Breath of Allah

This was such an interesting book, because I do not know much about the Muslim religion. The good news is, that if the information in this book is correct, then there is hope for peace.

Tempest O'Rourke has written a book that sheds quite a bit of light on a society that was unknown to me. When a seventh century Koran, one of the original 12 (known as The Breath of Allah), surfaces, after having been passed down through generations of Randall men, everyone wants to get their hands on it. The CIA is trying to get it, the Israeli secret police are trying to protect Randall, Islamic terrorists want to destroy it, and all are willing to do whatever it takes to reach their goals.

Preaching compassion, peace, and mercy, the Breath of Allah is in direct contradiction of what is being taught to current Muslims. Over centuries, every generation of clerics has changed it, each for their own agenda.

Security has been breached in the CIA, and people are dying. No one who comes in contact with the Koran is safe.

Randall has an agenda of his own, as he moves, with the help of an Israeli operative, to exact his revenge, and a devout Muslim, claiming to be a prophet, also enters the fray.

This book races along, leaving you wanting to see how it all turns out. There a many characters, and sometimes the names can be a little confusing, however the conclusion is unexpected and satisfying.

"The Breath of Allah" is an interesting look at another culture. If you like intrigue, this one's for you!

I received this book from Brittany at Phenix & Phenix Literary Publicists. Thank you!
